Why we exist
Enter Slide. With two warehouses in Cape Town and Jozi, smaller storage hubs in surrounding areas, and light delivery vehicles, we offer businesses an affordable storage and delivery service that’s better for their budgets and the environment.
Our tech is easy to use, which allows business owners to put storage and delivery on autopilot while they focus on the important stuff: growing.
And because we’re a proudly South African startup, we lean into that upstarter spirit by creating more opportunities for our community. All the couriers we employ are independent contractors and our storage hubs, owned by small independent businesses, too.
2.6 million SMEs
Here’s a big stat about small businesses: SA has an estimated 2.6 million micro and small to medium enterprises (SMEs). They’re the backbone of our economy and a testament to our entrepreneurial spirit.
Many of these businesses sell their goods online to save money. But it’s tricky. Being too small to have your own warehouse means you spend a fortune on delivery and lead times can be lengthy. Not to mention the frustration that comes with a lack of accurate tracking.

Conscious delivery
South Africa produces almost 3.5 million tonnes of packaging a year. The majority ends up in landfills. To minimise our impact, we don’t repackage. We also make use of light vehicles instead of large trucks for those last few kilometres. They’re perfect for delivering small packages, faster over short distances, and a little friendlier to the environment.
